Active methamphetamine lab leads to criminal charges for man

Facing drug charges sometimes becomes a habit for people who are addicted to drugs. One man who was wanted because he missed a court date for drug possession is now facing more drug charges after police officers responded to a residence because of a report of a domestic disturbance. Law enforcement officers reportedly had to use a stun gun on the 38-year-old man after he fell 15 feet off a deck while handcuffed behind his back.

Police officers who responded to the call regarding the man, a 5-year-old boy and a 37-year-old woman allegedly found a methamphetamine lab at the residence. When officers found the meth lab, along with items used to produce meth, the man jumped from a chair, ran out onto a second-story deck and tried to jump off the deck. Instead, he fell off the deck.

The man is now facing a slew of criminal charges in connection with the findings at the residence. He is facing felony charges for illegally dumping methamphetamine waste, operating a methamphetamine laboratory, felony and misdemeanor drug offenses and escape. He is also facing misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor terroristic threats, misdemeanor resisting arrest, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and a summary charge of harassment. He is being held on a bail of $100,000.

No matter what types of drug charges and other charges you are facing, you have the right to present a defense against those charges. You should being building your defense as soon as possible. Remember that your civil rights, including the right to representation, apply throughout the criminal procedure.
