Man facing criminal charges after allegedly stabbing 2 men in bar

Crime is not uncommon in Pennsylvania or in the rest of the country. In some cases, it is beyond clear who the suspect is and who is going to be charged with a criminal offense. In other cases, the suspect and details surrounding the alleged crime may not be so clear. This may result in an innocent individual facing criminal charges for a crime that he or she did not commit. This may or may not be the case with one man in Pennsylvania.

On a recent Saturday night, a fight allegedly broke out in a bar. It was during this fight that a man was stabbed and another man sustained a cut when trying to stop the fight. Based on information the investigators gathered, including surveillance video, they were led to suspect a 21-year-old man in the crime.

Authorities found the man at an apartment and arrested him. He was charged with attempt at homicide, simple assault, possession of a weapon, aggravated assault and endangering an individual. He is accused of stabbing a 28-year-old man at least five times and a 43-year-old man once.

At this time, few details are available. While more details will likely emerge throughout the rest of the investigation and during court proceedings, prosecutors are going to have numerous questions to answer in order to obtain the necessary proof to obtain a conviction against this man. While it remains to be seen what the outcome will be in this particular case, this man -- as well as any other person in Pennsylvania who has been accused of a crime and is facing criminal charges -- enjoys the full protection of the law, which includes the right to a fair trial, impartial proceedings and the presumption of innocence.
