4 Pennsylvania teenagers facing several criminal charges

Teenagers are often quite sociable and enjoy getting together with their friends and finding activities to keep them busy. There are occasions though, when the activities they may have meant to be harmless fun, can instead lead to criminal charges. Four Pennsylvania teenagers may be facing that situation right now.

According to reports, the four youths were together on a July day and have been accused of causing serious injuries to a 52-year-old woman who was a passenger in a car. Purportedly, the boys were on an overpass in rural Pennsylvania that crossed Interstate 80. One of the teens supposedly tossed an object off the bridge onto the highway below. The first rock did not strike anything.

One of the teens reportedly stated that one of the others then threw another rock that smashed through the windshield of the vehicle in which the woman was a passenger. As a result of being struck, the woman has suffered serious head injuries and is reported to have lost sight in one of her eyes. In addition to this alleged assault, the four are also being accused of causing damage to a farm field and destruction of private property.

The criminal charges against these teenagers are serious and they have been charged as adults. The Pennsylvania assistant district attorney is expecting to hold the preliminary hearing in the near future at which he expects at least one of the accused would participate. All of the teens are entitled to work with their defense team to seek a fair and impartial trial while also assembling their own strong defense to refute these charges. They may also work to gain a thorough understanding of the legal process as pertains to their case and seek the best resolution available to them.
