Pennsylvania man arrested for armed robbery charges

The U.S. Marshall's office recently worked in conjunction with officials in Pennsylvania to find and arrest a man who they believed had taken part in criminal activity. The 24-year-old man has been arrested on armed robbery charges, along with allegations of an assault in connection to a home invasion burglary. The man was allegedly identified by a victim, and he is now in jail and awaiting further proceedings in this case.

The crime was reported sometime after 11:30 p.m. on an evening in late April. According to the victim's statement, he had received a visit from an acquaintance a bit earlier in the evening. About a half hour later, he claimed to have heard some disturbance coming from another area of the home. When he went to check for the cause, he allegedly discovered his mother down on the floor with three other men in the house with weapons. He then reported that the suspects proceeded to physically attack him and then compelled him to show him the items that they supposedly then stole.

An unnamed source had purportedly come forward to authorities and revealed that the accused man had spoken to him concerning his alleged participation in an armed robbery where cash, guns and other items were taken as well as an assault of a victim and his mother. After receiving this information, the man was later taken into custody when a judge issued a warrant for his arrest. The victim has also stated that he believes his friend who had visited the house that night was somehow involved in the carrying out of this robbery.

While there were three men who allegedly carried out this crime, only the one man is currently being held on the robbery charges. Pennsylvania laws will protect the rights of the accused man, including his right to be considered innocent until the prosecutor is able to prove by a preponderance of the evidence that he is guilty of the crimes of which he has been charged. Moreover, he is entitled to review the evidence for validity and to challenge any statements that may be considered hearsay or may have been offered in exchange for favors from law enforcement. In the meantime, he may choose to educate himself concerning the legal proceedings he is facing along with any possible options that may be offered to him.
