Alleged Pennsylvania drug ring busted; drug charges pending

School is supposed to be a safe place to send children. Not many parents want to find out that their children have been subjected to the availability of drugs in the place where they are supposed to be safe, or worse -- that they are the people subjecting the other students to those drugs. However, a recent report of multiple Pennsylvania arrests has left at least eight people with drug charges for distribution in schools and more arrest warrants pending.

Two men are allegedly responsible for the so-called mastermind drug ring that has apparently targeted prestigious suburban schools in Philadelphia. The report of their arrests alleges that the two men had at least eight other young adults who were the sub-dealer employees, including at least two juveniles. Police reported a seizure of cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy along with hash oil, guns and a large amount of cash.

An investigation was started back in January, and the report indicates that text messages allegedly claim that an expansion of the business was being discussed, and that the older ring-leader was teaching the others how to efficiently distribute the drugs. The two allegedly discussed giving incentives to the sub-dealers in order to increase sales. According to the official's investigation, the older of the two men was responsible for shipping the large amounts of marijuana, and the younger man was the apparent manager of the sub-dealers.

Drug charges can seriously ruin a person's future; therefore, making sure that a case like this is handled correctly can be the difference between a simple arrest and release and future felony record. Both men in this Pennsylvania drug case have reportedly obtained criminal defense, which may be beneficial to the outcome of their charges. If the prosecution team does not provide enough evidence, or if the defense finds that the evidence is unworthy, the criminal charges may possibly be lightened or even dropped altogether.
